Milestones in the History of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic 1949 Dr. Mavis Kelsey founds the Clinic on the Mayo Clinic model of combining primary and specialty care in one location. 1956 The Kelsey-Leary-Seybold Clinic established. 1965 Dr. Leary joins the staff of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and the Clinic's name is changed to Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. 1966 The Clinic becomes the first medical service provider for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). 1971 Kelsey-Seybold Clinic opens its first neighborhood health center in Post Oak. 1999 Kelsey-Seybold Clinic opens its new, state-of-the-art Main Campus at 2727 West Holcombe Blvd. 2002 Kelsey-Seybold Clinic becomes part of the St. Luke's Episcopal Health System. October 7, 2002 Our founder, Dr. Mavis Kelsey, celebrates his 90th Birthday. October 7, 2007 Our founder, Dr. Mavis Kelsey, celebrates his 95th Birthday. May 6, 2008 Dr. Kelsey attends grand opening festivities as Kelsey-Seybold opens new Northwest Houston clinic named Kelsey-Seybold at The Vintage. 2009 Kelsey-Seybold Clinic will celebrate 60 years of caring for generations of Houstonians.
